Unfortunate Max Hunt is involved in this horrific looking crash at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in Aug 2011. Competing in the Supersports 600 race he lost the bike at the bottom of Graham Hill bend and whilst tumbling down the track he his hit unsighted, directly in the face by a fellow rider travelling at high speed. ‘RaceLab’ Honda British Supersport racer Max Hunt was airlifted to hospital after the first-lap crash which saw him knocked out cold, and he was immediately taken to the circuit medical centre at Brands Hatch for treatment. He was concussed & therefore he remained in Kings College hospital in London under observation overnight and throughout the day. His condition has now improved to the extent that he has been discharged from hospital. Hunt, 28 from London sustained a high impact head injury, he was treated immediately trackside by the BSB Medical Team before being transferred to the circuit medical centre and then by Air Ambulance to King’s College Hospital London for further treatment and assessment. Of the other riders involved; Ed Smith was discharged from the medical centre with minor injuries whilst Anthony Rogers and Lee Johnston were uninjured.
